Overview

breea is currently seeking talented team members to join its growing team of sustainability consultants as a Sustainability Certification Specialist. This is a great opportunity to work with and help shape the sustainability strategies of national real estate portfolios. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, can effectively communicate with clients, and has experience implementing sustainability strategies in the commercial real estate sector.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates closely with breeas team to achieve and maintain green building certifications for its national real estate clients.
• Supports and/or manages Fitwel, LEED, and other green building certifications for high-profile assets across the U.S.
• Performs property site visits to complete certification requirements and gather relevant site-specific data/documentation.
• Interacts with clients to ensure seamless site visit scheduling and proper follow-up documentation requests.
• Coordinates with breeas team to maintain proper project tracking, ensure certification schedules are followed, and assist with additional projects as needed.
• Develops and maintains effective client relationships, continually seeking opportunities to expand breeas services with existing and potential clients.

Qualifications

• A Bachelors Degree in environmental sciences, sustainability, engineering, architecture, landscape architecture (or related field), or equivalent directly-related experience.
• Two or more years experience with real estate green building certification platforms.
• Experience with LEED and Fitwel certifications preferred.
• Experience with ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager platform preferred.
• Ability to efficiently work autonomously.
• Willingness and ability to travel.
• Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Highly organized and self-motivated, with excellent project and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of ESG and sustainability topics in the commercial real estate industry.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Familiarity with building design and operations, including HVAC, lighting, and plumbing systems.
• LEED Accredited Professional (AP) and/or Fitwel Ambassador designations preferred
• Proficient with various software systems (MS Office, CRM, project management).
• Comfortable with and able to work remotely, without a physical office; prior remote working experience preferred.
• Desire to be a key part of a dynamic team, working closely to help grow strong client relationships.
