Education and Experience:

• Must have high school diploma or GED
• Prefer some experience working with the IDD population
• Must have valid TX driver's license and be insurable

Job Purpose:

• Must demonstrate a concern for the rights, privileges, and dignity of individuals served
• Shift work primarily but not limited to Monday through Friday from approximately 5 am to 8 am and then 3 pm to 8 pm; or a variation of that split working the busiest hours in the group home to assist during meals, bath times and medication administration
• Provides daily programming, training, direct care, and supervision to individuals served
• Will provide direct care and supervision to individuals with intellectual disability, mental illness, or substance abuse
• Shift work is primarily but not limited to Monday through Friday from approximately 5 am to 8 am and then 3 pm to 8 pm

Job Function:

• Will implement treatment plans, crisis intervention, documentation, and supervising medications
• Will maintain individual care in a safe, therapeutic and professional manner
• Must be able to administer CPR
• Must be able to consistently and accurately perform the documentation tasks as assigned
• Will demonstrate flexibility in adapting to a situation in which frequent interruptions are inherent
• Must be able to transport in Center vehicles both out of town and in town
