The Company
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a conference and incentives agency. The company is looking for an Associate Director of Event Operations to join the agency on a fulltime basis. The company delivers meetings, incentives, conferences and special events for corporate clients.
The Role
The Associate Director of Event Operations will manage and nurture multiple key clients as well as overseeing events and meetings from conception to execution. Will also provide staff management oversight to the department.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Building and nurturing successful relationships with clients
- Managing and coordinating all logistics and aspects of events and campaigns from concept through to brief, ideation and event delivery.
- Client relationship management and communications
- Day to day management of a team of staff. Must ensure all staff adhere to company culture, values and deliver to the highest level
- Managing project timelines, production schedules, critical paths, and post program reconciliation
- Managing project budgets and reporting to ensure financial profitability and value for clients
- Contracting and managing suppliers and vendors including venues, audio visual, and technical staff
- Conducting site inspections and client presentations
- Providing support to clients and ensuring their expectations are met
- Manage the department in conjunction with the Director.
This Job is Ideal for Someone who has - 8-10 years conference and incentive agency experience, preferably as a Senior Producer, Event Manager, Account Director, and/or Senior Account Manager
- Project management experience across the spectrum of corporate summits, conferences, tradeshows, incentives, live productions, and virtual events highly desired
- Solid background across both account management and event production
- Proven experience working with multiple clients and projects simultaneously
- Strong project management skills
- Strong staff management experience
- Strong Client focus with attention to detail, flexibility and accountability for results
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A passion for events and drive to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure agency environment
- Excellent computer skills
- Experience managing and writing Client briefs
- Proven experience managing large event production budgets
- Excellent time management and problem solving skills
- Flexible, dependable, detail orientated, innovative, motivated and enthusiastic about delivering exceptional events
- A thorough understanding of permitting standards and procurement
- Strong desire to work with a fun, creative and entrepreneurial team in a fast-paced agency environment.
- The Candidate must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed; as well as participate in overnight travel for events
- Local and interstate travel may be required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000 + discretionary bonus + benefits annually, dependent on experience. The salary is based on a range of factors, including relevant experience, skills, knowledge, job-related qualifications, complexity of the role, market considerations, geographic location and region, and budgetary considerations. This is the anticipated base salary component of the total compensation package, which may include additional company benefits such as bonuses, commission, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and retirement.
