SummaryThe Field Support Technician – Solar performs support functions needed to operate and maintain utility scale renewable energy facilities. Fieldwork includes safely and effectively performing vegetation management duties, supporting field technicians and managers for general maintenance and inventory duties, helping with custodial duties, shipping and receiving and any other assigned tasks as needed. This is a temporary role.RequirementsAbility to work at night.Works collectively as part of a small site team to ensure tasks are correctly prioritized and delivered, in a safe and prompt manner at the highest quality.Ensures building & ground maintenance as well as vegetation control policies are adhered to as required.Follows safety and security procedures.Operates a “0” turn mower in a safe manner.Uses appropriate hand tools in the appropriate manner for the specific task.Ensures good housekeeping practices for Site, Warehouse and O&M building.Maintains site equipment, facility tools and parts inventory.Assists with Annual Planned Maintenance as required.Write or sign and understand the JHA's.Work from procedures and work instructions when needed.Takes direction, identifies problems, develop solutions, in collaboration with others.Assists PV Technicians with troubleshooting and repair of electrical and/or mechanical equipment when needed.Assists with the replacement of components for a utility scale solar project as needed.Uses a CMMS system as well as spreadsheets for maintenance tracking.Adheres to the site safety policy, ensuring RES's safety program is implemented.Accurately completes and submits daily required paperwork.Attends meetings as required.Reports potentially unsafe conditions to the appropriate person in charge immediately.Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.SafetyFollows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.
